The Timeline of a Photo Session with Alysha Sanford Photography in Roseburg, Oregon
Hey, friend!
I wanted to share the process behind the scenes and what a typical timeline looks like with my session offers. This could be really helpful when you’re deciding which season you’d like to schedule your photo session in. I may run ahead of schedule when we aren’t in the midst of my busy season (usually Sept-Dec).
WITHIN 1-4 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR SESSION:
After discussing your desired session via email, I’ll send an invoice for the session retainer (as discussed). You’ll also receive links to a policy form/client agreement, questionnaire & my outfit styling Pinterest boards for planning inspiration. Once the session fee is paid and the agreement is completed/signed, I’ll reserve your session or tentative due date in my calendar.
If you’re booking a newborn session, this is the time to take advantage of the baby registry! Simply email me to request the insert cards to include with your baby shower invitations. Family and friends will have the opportunity to gift you credit to redeem on your session balance (if remaining), additional digital files, prints or products! Read more about the registry here!
Once baby arrives, please email me ASAP to lock in a session date & time, ideally within their first 2-4 weeks of life.
WITHIN 3-4 DAYS BEFORE YOUR SESSION:
I check in to make sure that our session (& the weather forecast if applicable) is a go. I will also ask about any possible illnesses & make sure that you aren’t needing to reschedule. Any remaining package balances are due.
THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION:
Try to ensure that all family members are rested, fed & ready for the session. Read up on some session prep tips here! I am so excited to work with & photograph your family!
If you find that you're running a few minutes late, please let me know as soon as possible. There is a possibility that I have multiple sessions scheduled that day and, while I add in buffers between them for cleaning, late starts may result in a reduced session shooting time.
WITHIN 1 WEEK AFTER YOUR SESSION:
I am diligently working to prepare your session proofs for your online ordering gallery. I appreciate your patience during this time & will be sharing a few favorites as sneak peeks via email, as well as social media if permission was given. Feel free to tag & share these!
At this time, I’d love it if you could provide a Google review (I’ll share the link in the sneak peek email) to let me know how you felt about your experience & to help others in their decision making process!
WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS AFTER YOUR SESSION:
For mini or keepsake sessions: You will receive the link to the watermarked online proofing gallery to choose your favorites & complete your digital session package. I will then make the final edits & send a download link & instructions for you to access the files.
For full heirloom sessions: Your fully edited gallery is ready! I will send a download link & instructions for you to access the files.
Additional heirloom products can be ordered at this time, such as prints, books, albums, wall art, cards & more. I’m passionate about tangible memories & can provide product samples if an in person meeting is arranged.
WITHIN 4-5 WEEKS AFTER YOUR SESSION:
For mini or keepsake sessions: your final photos are ready! I will send a download link & instructions for you to access the files.
If prints or products were ordered, your order is ready! Preparing, packaging and delivering your order is quite possibly one of my favorite steps! I love getting to see your family reliving the adventure through the tangible prints & products once in hand.
